I’m a digital and analog photographer based in Berlin.
My passion for photography began in schooldays, when my grandfather gave me his analog SLR camera. Being curious about the world led me to study Cultural Anthropology and Languages & Cultures of the Islamic World at the University of Cologne. After graduating I started as a freelance photographer while working for the women’s rights organisation medica mondiale and the zenith Magazine. Currently I’m student at the Ostkreuzschule for Photography in Berlin.
As a portrait and documentary photographer I am particularly interested in socially relevant topics. I consider photography to be a tool that enables us to see things from different perspectives. Also it gives us the opportunity to connect and emphasize with people we might not encounter in our everyday life.
