info
I was born in Kuching, Malaysia in 1987 and grew up in southern Germany. Today I live and work as a freelance photographer in Berlin and elsewhere. I hold a bachelor degree in Cultural Anthropology and Languages & Cultures of the Islamic World (University of Cologne). In 2022 I graduated from the Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie in Berlin in the class of Sibylle Fendt. My graduation project ‚Der Zukunft ganz nah‚ presents portraits of women in old age.
As a portrait and documentary photographer, I focus on socially relevant issues. For me, photography is a tool for broadening perspectives and empathising with people – especially those whose everyday lives are different from mine.
